Anna Alderson MA

Owner / manager @ Faunbank Stables for 16 years.
BHS accredited professional coach, stage 3 in complete horsemanship. Diploma in Equine Psychology distinction grade. Merisha massage and Myo-fascial release qualified practitioner.

I have been working with horses for 32 years. I specialize in solving training and behaviour issues, and training young horses. I have worked with race and competition horses to a high standard. I have worked at a racehorse rehabilitation yard and with rescue horses.

I am passionate about problem solving and retraining, with a holistic approach, considering all aspects, including history, physical condition, diet, hooves, teeth, tack, and psychological causes. I use gentle methods, working within the horse's comfort zone as much as possible, with a combination of Classical and Natural Horsemanship methods to suit each individual's needs. I always use positive reinforcement methods in training.

My own horses and lifestyle

photos, above right: eventing with Barny at Moreton
and right: with my lovely children, Claris & Kolbe (now bigger!) and their pony Max.

I evented with my Dutch Warmblood, Barny, and competed in Dressage, Show jumping and Showing for 12 years, he is now approaching retirement. Prior to this I had a wonderful ex-racehorse, Hardy, who I shared 22 years with, until he sadly passed at the age of 27.   I am now bringing on another A&E warmblood youngster, Ziggy, who, like Barmy, didn’t have a great start in life, but is now finding confidence and his place in the World, and blossoming into an exciting prospect. My spare time is spent between helping my daughter with her wonderful ex-racehorse, showjumper, Frankie and my son, Kolbe Red Sole’s motocross adventures.
